New Fast and Furious Coaster Details, New Droids, and Tons More!

New Walk-Around Droids Appear at Galaxy’s Edge

There are some new adorable walkaround droids for Hollywood Studios at Disney World! These droids follow each other in line and look adorable.

It’s no secret that some people are disappointed by Galaxys Edge and how it didn’t live up to what was promised. These droids are slowly meeting what we were first promised when the land was announced.

Just imagine when they have more walk around characters, so many that you actually stop taking pictures of them and instead just live in the moment and consider them part of the land. That is what many of us are hoping for in the land, where the characters are just always there, making this land feel even more real!

New Details About The Fast & Furious Coaster at Universal Hollywood

Universal/NBC recently released a post on their community site for residents near their park to see how the new rollercoaster may affect their sightlines and noise levels of the area. Here is the blog post.

It’s really fascinating to see the level of detail this blog post goes into, to make it clear that this coaster should not disrupt the residents around the park and the lengths that the park is going to, to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Some of these things include sound shields, that should direct screams from riders away from residents. Various sound walls that should absorb sound. A low rumble track filled with pea gravel to reduce the sound the ride vehicle makes. And more!

From The Editor

Another busy week and thus why the newsletter was delayed a day. Last weekend I went to Elitch Gardens but you’d probably never know that unless you’re reading this. While I do try to film every trip of mine, sometimes you just need to take a breather and have a nice family trip to the parks.

Our coaster wheels have started selling in case you missed last weeks newsletter. I bought some wheels from Dynamic Attractions and are putting up some for sale! Once they are gone, they are gone! These wheels usually cost $800 or more (these wheels probably cost more due to their size).

Want to learn more about the project these wheels came from? Check out the thread on the ThemeparkX site here, it’s a rabbit hole of information so be warned!

You can get your very own coaster wheel from our Etsy shop here

As always, consider supporting us on Patreon, it really helps us cover the cost of what we do!

Lighting Package Unveiled On Skyline Attraction’s New Ride

Skyline Attractions recently finished testing their lighting package on the P’Sghetti bowl coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. This lighting package is called ‘Aurora’ and is available for any of their coasters using this track.

I think this lighting package will drastically make the coaster an amazing experience at night. I could even guess that most people wanting to ride this will want to do so at night because of it!

American Heartland Keeps Releasing New Concept Art

So you know that billion dollar theme park being built in Oklahoma that many thought wasn’t going to ever happen? Well, their Instagram account has been quite active and seemingly posting more and more concept art. Stuff that they didn’t release when the park was first announced.

What does this mean? I think it means this park is serious about being built. Why else would you have marketing team trying to hype up your park? The Mattel park that is almost built in Arizona doesn’t even have a strategy yet on social media and we Know For Sure that park is going to open.

It seems that the team at American Heartland has their ducks in a row and are going strong at promoting their upcoming park!

Last week we asked what do you go to theme parks for and 75% of you said for the rollercoasters! It’s funny, but no one said they went for flat rides.

SBF Visa Announces Bigger Ride Concept/Layouts

SBF Visa is now trying to sell their next gen coaster that is larger but still kid friendly. In case you didn’t know, this is the company that has pioneered selling their small spinning coaster to dozens or hundreds of local pizza chains, indoor malls, and small parks.

Their website shows a couple different models including some dueling coasters! This is definitely a step up as these coasters look like a blast!

However, they will have to start catering to larger clients as their usual pizza chain clients won’t be able to fit these rides into their buildings. These new coaster designs will most likely only be able to fit outdoors or very large indoor malls.

Six Flags Great Adventure Announces New On-Ride Video Footage

Six Flags Great Adventure recently unveiled a new on-ride video system where guests can buy a video of their ride. It looks like this will start at Six Flags Great Adventure but eventually roll out to other rides at other parks as well. El Toro Ryan does a great video covering this system

This Weeks Comic

Our first ever multi-comic story is here! This will be in a few parts so you’ll have to check back next week for part two. It’s a slow burn but I think it will be worth it!

This Weeks Coloring Page!

Someone asked about how to print this last time and here’s what I found doing some research. If you’re on a desktop, there might be a download button at the bottom right corner of the image, after downloading it you can open it up and print it.

You can also right click on the image to download it as well(should be one of the options).

These images are not sized for a full sheet of paper currently(it might be something we do in the future), so you’ll have to just cut off the extra white bits of paper.
