Universal Orlando Announces ‘Premium’ Night at HHN

If you’ve ever been to HHN, you know that its busy. Just flat out busy. Usually you’re waiting 30 minutes or more for each scare house and when you do enter them, it’s a constant flow of people in one long line. This serpent line through the house means you’re not as immersed because the scare actor usually scares the person ahead of you, so when its your turn to walk past them, you kind of already know whats coming.

One of the houses at HHN 2023

Well, Universal just announced its first ever ‘Premium Experience’ at HHN. This event promises the following:

  1. Staggered Entry into houses. This means it wont be one long line, but maybe large to small groups of people let in

  2. Free food and non-alcoholic beverages. This makes the event kind of feel like one of those Orlando Informer events. You still have to pay for alcohol.

  3. Free self parking

  4. Limited park capacity. No idea if this means the park will be 25% less busy or 75% less busy.

There’s only 1 night of this experience but you can be assured that if it goes off well, Universal will most likely bring it back next year but for more nights.

Should you buy tickets to this? Maybe. Tickets are roughly $325 if you’re a passmember. This is roughly the same price as a RIP tour(depending on the night you select). There will most likely still be lines but you can bet the experience inside the scare houses may be a lot better.

If you’re only going to go to the event once this year, I always recommend buying a RIP tour but this ticket may also be a good option

I was Invited to the Media Day of The Bobcat at Six Flags Great Escape

This was my second visit to this park in under a year and my third trip to the Albany airport in under a year as well(its such a random small airport I just had to point out this fact). I first went to the park to ride Alpine Bobsled coaster which was scheduled to be demolished in just a week. That bobsled coaster was absolutely fun but I was told it hardly ever ran, causing some guests to be frustrated when it wasnt open.

So the park decided to replace this coaster with something more reliable. That coaster, The Bobcat, made by The Gravity Group.

This rollercoaster was amazing! It didn’t break any records but that’s fine. Not every park can spend $40+ million on a coaster to break a record. Some parks are fine with a great reliable coaster that will put smiles on guests faces.

The Bobcat has some good speed, some great airtime moments, and some fun elements to it! It’s a great family coaster for a park that was made for families.

I won’t say you should venture from the west coast just to visit Six Flags Great Escape(unless it’s part of a multi-park trip!). Flying into Albany is kind of hard and there arn’t a lot of great flight options. But, if you’re on the east coast, you should definitely plan a trip up to this park and check it out! They have a great variety of rides and The Bobcat is so smooth/amazing!

Jenny Nichols Starcruiser Video Goes Viral

As you may know, the Galactic Starcruiser at Disney World closed about a year ago. Well, it turns out Jenny Nicholson had visited the experience/hotel and just recently came out with an amazing 4 hour video that does a deep dive into her experience, what we were promised for the hotel, and so much more.

It’s shot in the same style as her other videos and is worth a full watch. It’s worth it to see if you have been on the ship or even if you have not been on it.

Teens Scale Fence at Knott’s Berry Farm and Post About It

Two teens scaled a fence at Knotts Berry Farm and were dumb enough to post it to social media. Here’s the video of the incident:

Knott’s has contacted the Buena Park Police Department and is working with them to bring these two trespassers to justice. The Inglewood mayor believes that authorities know the identities of these two individuals and is going to contact their parents according to a Daily Mail article.

Here’s hoping the two teens are banned for life.

Weekly Poll

Last week we asked if you’re a fan of waterparks as well and the votes were all over the place. 21% of you were huge fans of waterparks, 21% sometimes visited waterparks, 17% of you were neutral on the subject, 29% of you weren’t too much a fan of waterparks, and 17% of you apparently just hate waterparks?

Jim wrote that he isn’t a fan of the guests at waterparks, and I definitely can understand that. Hazarvartiankid wrote that he makes it a priority to visit the themepark vs the waterpark(if they are operated by the same company).

Are you willing to go to another country for their theme parks?
