Layout For Universal Studios Hollywood Coaster Allegedly Leaked

ParkFans.net recently came across the alleged layout for the new Fast and Furious rollercoaster coming to Universal Studios Hollywood.

This isn’t a high rest version of the image, If you want to see the high resolution version of the image head on over to their site here because I want to give them as much credit as possible if this is true. They have a truly amazing forum and if you can, create an account there and interact with their site!

From what we know for sure, Universal is demoing a lot of stuff in the upper lot to make way for something(allegedly a coaster). This includes the animal actors stage, the Jabbawockeez stage, and more. It seems that Universal is paying more attention to their first park with this addition and the Super Mario World land that opened earlier this year.

Building in this park is incredibly tough as there are some large hills throughout the park. The park is divided in two with a series of escalators taking guests to the lower lot. On top of that, there are residential houses on top of a nearby hill that restrict what Universal can build toward them and how late they can operate near them.

Gröna Lund Roller Coaster Accident Claims One Life

The Jetline rollercoaster at the park partially derailed which left one person deceased and 9 others injured. Of the 9 injured individuals, 3 are severely wounded.

The park was evacuated after the accident. Located in Stockholm, Sweden, the park had 1.6 million visitors back in 2019. The park originally opened in 1883 and is one of the oldest parks in the world.

The Jetline rollercoaster is a traditional steel-sit down coaster built by Anton Schwarzkopf and then later rebuilt in 2000 by Mauer Sohne. It reached speeds of up to 56 mph and a max height of 98 feet.

Last week’s comic went viral on Reddit in two Disney communities. It seems that from that we got two additional subscribers to our Patreon account! Thank you so much for donating! It really helps cover the cost of this newsletter (about $100 a month). For anyone considering joining our Patreon, you’ll receive some very cool stickers for joining!

It’s totally OK if you don’t subscribe on Patreon. There are countless other ways you can help support us including buying any of our shirts, referring friends to the newsletter(the bigger this newsletter is, the easier it is to get sponsorships), subscribing and watching our youtube videos(it’s where we earn the most adsense money), and just talking positive about us online or at parks!

Speaking of parks, we’ll likely be hearing a ton more about upcoming Halloween houses as parks start to drum up the hype around their Halloween event. I’ve heard some interesting rumors about Halloween Horror Nights like Stranger Things coming back!

Six Flags Fiesta Texas Announces Changes To Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster

WWGL will close in order to get enhancements to it’s station, track, structure, and control equipment. It will close again in 2024 when it receives new trains with RMC’s new restraint system which should allow more guests to enjoy the ride.

Jeffrey Siebert Also posted in the Thrill Seekers United Facebook group an image alluding to additional information on the park will be announced July 5th!

Mall Of America Announces Halloween Experience

Mall of America just announced that they will have a haunt event this year. There will be several specialty bars open during the event that will serve unique drinks and food options.

Judging off the website, the main villain at this event will be ‘Onionhead'. I’m not making this up, check out their site here.

From what I remember of this park, they do have some empty spaces where they can build mazes for the event, I just don’t know how big these mazes will be. I can imagine that the park might rely more heavily on walk around scare actors.

A lot of haunt events are hindered by weather, either too cold/hot, or being rained out. The perk of this Halloween event will be that it’s all indoors so it is unlikely to close if their is poor weather in the area unlike other haunt events!

Last week we asked for your coaster count! Here are the results:

  • 1-50: 6 votes

  • 51-100: 2 votes

  • 101-150: 1 vote

  • 151-200: 1 vote

  • 251-300: 1 vote

  • 400+: 1 vote

There wasn’t a large engagement in the most recent poll so be sure to vote in today’s poll below!

Cedar Point Creating A Mini-Golf Course

Cedar Point is opening up a mini golf course in its park. It will be located in the Coliseum Arcade and looks pretty sweet. CP Rundown posted a photo that shows what part of this mini golf course will look like. It is somewhat themed but at the same time still feels like it was crammed into the space(which is true).

Nothing looks permanent, there arn’t very elaborate holes. Instead, everything looks like it can be eventually lifted up off the ground and replaced with something else down the road.

Knott’s Berry Farm Hopes To Re-Open Xcelerator Soon

Xcelerator at Knott’s has been closed since March. From what I’ve heard they’ve been waiting on part(s) to fix the ride and in the meantime have been giving the ride a brand new paint job. It seems that they may have gotten their hands on the part(s) needed to re-open and we can see the ride welcome guests again sometime soon.

Disneyland Paris Union Says No Progress Has Been Made

The UNSA Disneyland Paris account recently posted a long post about the negotiations for better conditions. Here’s an excerpt from that post

Once again, we cannot condone the fact that all Cast Members are being ignored their efforts are visible and their attachment is still very strong. In the same article, Disneyland Paris posted an operating profit of $51 million last year. If the company is doing well, it's largely due to your hard work. It has to be said that, despite all our discussions, we have made little or no progress in the face of small measures which, if they are considered to be "good measures", are in fact "bad measures". “measures", they do nothing to meet the Cast Members' legitimate expectations.

Members.

UNSA Disneyland Paris' main demands include the need to increase salaries by200 for all Cast Members, put an end to "adapted/chosen" working hours, double the payment for Sundays worked and mileage allowance, increase seniority bonuses, recover lost bonuses and twenty-four INT lost...

The challenges ahead require every Cast Member to be committed and recognized in order to remain mobilized. must not betray your trust!

This was a translated post in case you see any grammatical errors.

What does this mean? Disneyland Paris has already seen countless protestors wandering inside it’s gates to protest. It’s very likely that these protests will continue. I think the employees at all theme parks need to be treated better and receive better pay. They are the ones that make the magic happen at parks. A better guest experience will result in guests spending more at the parks and returning more.

Owen Wilson and Jamie Lee Curtis Show Up To Disneyland

To promote their new movie, Haunted Mansion, Owen Wilson and Jamie Lee Curtis spent the day at Disneyland. They were spotted up on the balcony of Club 33 doing some sort of recording. And Owen was spotted at the gates of The Haunted Mansion, welcoming guests inside. Here’s an article with additional pictures of them at the park.

Once again though, I’m never lucky enough to be in a park when a celebrity is there!

Universal Studios Singapore Announces HHN Maze

All of us are Dead, the popular Netflix show about zombies, will be one of the upcoming mazes this year at Universal Studios Singapore. It seems that the theme of this maze will be similar to that of the tv show where students are trying to survive a zombie outbreak in a highschool.

Will we get this maze in the U.S.? I think its unlikely as the show never caught on in the U.S. like it did in the Asian market. I think if we were getting a zombie maze it would most likely be based on The Walking Dead or Fear The Walking Dead. Both of those are popular US shows based around zombies.
