Squirrel at Disney Springs Almost Jumps Into the Volcano at Rainforest Cafe

Apparently this happens more than I thought because there are multiple videos about this on Tiktok? Who knew!

For Six Flags, it’s very interesting that it’s stock shot up to a yearly all time high of $57.63 on July 5th, a few days after merging, only to come down to $50.29. That was a 12% drop. There hasnt been too much news since the merger on what their overarching plan is to boost revenue. We do know they are going to reduce some management and hope to capitalize on their sheer scale of parks. But as far as I’ve seen, nothing immediately has changed.

Kings Dominion Teases New Rollercoaster

On July 31st, it appeares that Kings Dominion will give us more details about their newest rollercoaster. The new coaster will be placed in the same area that Volcano used to inhabit. This new coaster is dubbed Project Caldera.

From what we can guess, it appears to be a launched wing coaster. KDFans.com appears to have some leaked blueprint plans showing the possible layout of the ride.

The park’s social media team did this cool little bit on their instagram account where they added a little slash to nine images, and if you line them all up, it looks kind of cool.

From The Editor

I’m thinking about interviewing people in the industry for this newsletter. Is that something you’re interested in? Let me know by replying to this email!

I did the Half Marathon at Disneyland

It was awhile ago but I finally edited the video from my experience. Overall, it wasn’t that great and I don’t think I’ll do one at Disneyland again unless they drastically improve it. The Run Disney events at Disney World are 1000x better and way way more fun.

Last newsletter I asked what was your favorite seasonal event at a theme park. 64% of you said it was a Winterfest/Winter Holiday event. 30% of you said that Halloween was your favorite event (I honestly thought this would be way higher). and a very very small amount of you said easter was your favorite holiday in a theme park.

Lakeside Park in Colorado Promises Improvement

Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver, Colorado has promised to improve their park. Partly due to the fact that Elitch Gardens located also in Denver, will be moving out of the city to a plot of land somewhere far outside of the city. It might be moved to Aurora, CO.

The owners of Lakeside Park want to make their park a better place for the people of the city as it will be the only amusement park in the city in the coming years. They also promised they want to keep the park affordable for everyone, which has been a key tenet for them for many years.
