Good Gravy To Open at Holiday World in 2024

Holiday World announced that it would be opening a brand new family coaster in 2024 called Good Gravy. This coaster is definitely for the family as its themed around a family thanksgiving dinner!

The front car in the coaster is a gravy boat, how cool is that??? But it gets better. The queue will be indoors(and air conditioned) that will be themed around Grandma Gracy’s house. Guests will then board this boomerang styled coaster and go through a can of cranberry sauce.

There will be no inversions on this coaster. It will be 1500 ft of track and have a 77 foot spike ata the end of it. The minimum ride height is only 38 inches and it will have a max speed of 37 mph.

Apart from this new coaster, it looks like there will be a brand new playground added near the track and a sitting area for families to enjoy.

This will be our 17th email using our new email service Beehiiv. What do you think of it so far? What could we do to improve this(other than sending it on Tuesdays instead of a day late).

Would you want to see us interview guests on the newsletter (park management, owners of parks, other influencers, someone else?) Please let us know as we want to make this the best newsletter for theme park fans there is. We do pride ourselves on not trying to drive you to read an article for every snippet of news, providing you with everything you need all in one email!

I got accepted into IAAPA as Press for this year once again, so if you have a question you wanted me to ask a ride manufacturer, be sure to let me know!

Also, is another hidden phrase in this email. The first 5 people that respond with the hidden phrase will get some stickers/magnets sent to them! (if you’ve already won, maybe sit this one out)

As always, if you’re able to support what we do here at Parkineer, our link to Patreon is down below. Each new subscriber on Patreon gets a welcome gift sent to them!

First Kid’s Watercoaster Announced at Schlitterbahn

Schlitterbahn is building a brand new water coaster called Bow Wow Blaster and it will be the first water coaster made for kids! This will be going at the waterpark in New Braunfels, Texas. This is part of a brand new kids addition to the park that includes a 1,200 gallon water bucket and more cool water features!

It seems that many parks are really building future additions geared toward the family crowds and this is no exception to that trend!

Zamperla Show Off New Ride Concept

Zamperla posted a video on their youtube channel showing off a potential layout for their lightning launch coaster. Of course, they can work with parks and change up the layout, this is just a small model to show off the capabilities of their coaster they are trying to sell.

Last week we asked if you were part of a coaster club or not. The results were very mixed and almost tied. Roughly 40% of you were not part of one and around 35% said you were part of a coaster club. The remaining 35% asked what is a coaster club.

A coaster club is usually just a group of theme park fans/roller coaster fans that set up special events at various parks. They usually coordinate with the park management to get some cool perks for their events like extra ride time(ERT), dedicated sitting areas, or even some cool giveaways! The hidden phrase for this week is ‘Double Heart’ email us that phrase and the first 5 will get some cool stuff!

Mt Olympus Announces Tallest Waterslide in America

They didn’t release too many details on this new slide but they are calling it The Rise of Icarus and have a little teaser text of ‘Don’t forget to wax your wings!’

It appears that there may just be one super tall slide in this new slide tower.
