Efteling Announces New Coaster
Efteling has announced a brand new rollercoaster called Missie Luminar that will open in 2029. The story behind the ride is that guests board a vehicle at a scientific institute where they are trying to break the light barrier. Guests launch and possibly succeed in breaking this barrier.
Some facts about the rollercoaster. It will have a top speed of roughly 49 mph. It will be the parks first suspended launch coaster. It’s speed of 49 mph would make it the second fastest rollercoaster in the park. The rides manufacturer will be Vekoma which has been on a roll with some amazing rollercoasters announced.

Tormenta Rampaging Run Officially Opens
Originally scheduled to open earlier, Tormenta has finally opened. The media event was hosted this week and soft openings at the park have been happening prior to that.
The ride itself looks super fun. It will be a great addition to the skyline of the park and act as a beacon for those passing by to come check it out. I was not able to attend the media event but hope to ride it later this year.
The reviews are coming in strong with many who rode it saying they liked it a lot. Although some have said its a rather short ride, which makes sense as it kind of is.

Shanghai Spiderman Rollercoaster Updates

Disney Parks shared some photos of the upcoming Spiderman Rollercoaster coming to Disney Shanghai. It appears there is a giant spider robot that may be attacking. If it’s anything like the plot of the spiderman dark ride, some small experiment Peter Park is making will go wrong and robots will start attacking.
This new rollercoaster is being made by Vekoma and will reach speeds of up to 55 mph. It will open sometime in 2027 and will be adjacent to their Zootopia land.
Disney Shanghai has been seeing massive attendance and this newest land will surely help keep that momentum going. They recently just announced a new hotel being built as well. The interesting part about this resort is that they have space for a second theme park which I might assume they will announce sometime in the next few years.

From The Editor
I’m just going to assume I’m on a roll and will stop commenting on the fact I’ve gone so many weeks in a row without missing a newsletter. I’m currently typing this weeks newsletter from a hotel room. I’m about to visit two theme parks this weekend and will bring you more incredible coverage of them soon.
In the meantime, let’s talk about my recent trip to Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA. This is a theme park/ zoo / waterpark. It does all 3 things pretty good. I do wonder if they would be really exceptional though if they just focused on one aspect of the park.
I brought my family with me to this park and they had a good amount of rides my 3 year old could do and several my 1 year old could do. Their river rapids ride has 2 very cool visual elements to it that i strongly recommend trying once. If you do go, be sure to hit up their Wild Mouse Coaster first as its very low capacity and you should honestly rope drop this ride.
Their rides are on the older side but I did enjoy the suspended kiddie coaster pictured below. Part of it goes over a 15 foot alligator enclosure which was kind of fun. Someone has even lost their phone in the water.
I have a good amount of POV’s of the rides and waterslides in my vlog so be sure to check it out! Clicking and watching this video helps support this newsletter!

Last week we asked how many Halloween haunt events you would be visiting this year. Most of you said just 1 event, while the remaining votes were pretty evenly split amongst the other options. One of our readers, Hazar, mentioned he likes the vibes of Halloween events but hates getting scared.
I’m probably only going to maybe 1 event but thats because my two kids are still too young to go to an event.

Universal Singapore To Get Super Nintendo Land
Sentosa who operates Universal Singapore has announced that they are building a Super Nintendo Land that will open sometime in 2030 at the park. They were pretty vague with this new land at the park and just briefly mentioned it when unveiling their master plan for the area that includes a slate of new additions throughout the tourist district.
I’m hoping that what they are building is significantly different than the current Super Nintendo Lands we have at Japan, Hollywood, and Orlando. I don’t want them to rehash the same rides over and over again. I would love it if they included new attractions at their park. In fact, that might draw some of the visitors from Universal Japan, which happens to be one of the most visited theme parks in the world, to also visit Universal Singapore.
However, I also understand if they just build what has already been built because it has been proven.
If you want to read more about their master plans, check out their announcement here.
