Vidanta World Announced: A Brand New Luxury Theme Park

So first let me start off by saying I had no idea a theme park of this scale was being built! I think I first heard of this development awhile ago but since then it appears they’ve added a crazy amount of rides to this including 5 rides by Vekoma, 1 by Mack, and I believe a flying theater by Brogent.

This park is partially open with two lands, Adventure Valley and Wonder Bay, currently open as part of a preview while the remaining are under active construction. If you look at the park from google maps satellite view you can see that 2 of the coasters look complete.

This is not some project that was just announced and is not being built like some that were announced at IAAPA in 2023.

But here’s the crazy part, their main Vekoma coaster looks so good! Watch the video below

This coaster looks absolutely incredible, am i right? It really looks like velocicoaster in terms of what it can do and the train design reminds me of Iron Gwazi. To me this makes this rollercoaster probably the best in the world as I love the design of Iron Gwazi and I love love love the layout of Velocicoaster.

There was a ton of news from IAAPA that I covered this last week. So much so that I’m still editing videos so you should expect another newsletter this week going over even more crazy cool stuff that was announced

Disney Confirms New Monsters Inc Land Will Replace Muppet Vision.

This week, Disney finally unveiled where their new Monsters Inc rollercoaster and land are going. Since the announcement at D23, many speculated it could replace the Muppets theater, replace Aerosmith, or go in the Animation courtyard. Many diehard Muppet fans hoped it wouldn’t be put where the Muppets theater is located.

However, Disney has confirmed that the ride will be placed in the Muppets area of Hollywood Studios. They will retheme the area to be a Monsters Inc land.

Not much is known about the land and what they are going to do with the Pizzarizo or the Muppets Theater. Maybe they transform the Muppets Theater into a new Monsters Inc laugh floor? Maybe the restaurant gets rebranded into a new Monsters Inc restaurant? From the concept art it does appear that the Harryhausen Sushi restaurant may be added to the land.

But, there is more news from this announcement.

The Muppets are not going away from Hollywood Studios.

The Muppets are taking over the Aerosmith Coaster! You’ll join the gang in this rethemed attraction as Animal and friends jam out.

This is going to be a retheme of this coaster and no additional track is expected to be added to the ride. And, it honestly should be a cheap retheme since the whole thing is already very musically themed to Aerosmith.

Last time we asked everyone if they could only visit 1 chain of theme parks for the rest of your life, which would it be. It was actually a tie between Six Flags and Disney. Each received 38.46% of the vote! Next up was Universal Studios which received 23% of the vote. No one voted for Merlin Entertainment Group or United Parks and Resorts. My theory is that a lot of people simply dont know what theme parks either of these chains run (Legoland, and Seaworld/Busch).

I Bought 100+ Coaster Wheels

In case you havn’t caught on, more than a year ago I bought 100+ coaster wheels from the Dynamic Attractions warehouse auction. Ive always wanted a coaster wheel so I thought this was a pretty easy way of getting my hand on some. I now have 3 coaster wheels of my own (a small 23 lb one, a large 43 lb one, and a 25 lb tester wheel). But, I’m also selling some of the coaster wheels to other rollercoaster fans such as you!

Triotech Announces New Series of Dark Rides

At IAAPA, Triotech announced they would be building a series of dark rides for SEVEN which are building 21 Family Entertainment Centers (FEC’s) around Saudi Arabia. These are going to be very very small dark rides that probably operate in just a few rooms.

The majority of the ride will be screen based, this will allow them to change up the story year after year, allowing guests to come back to these FEC’s again and again.

Naruto Rollercoaster Announced

This family rollercoaster will be located in Parc Spirou in France. It will be the world’s first rollercoaster themed to Naruto.

When I think of Naruto, I think of that classic running and this coaster has a ton of terrain hugging moments which I think go perfectly with this theme. I do wish that the POV of the ride had more theming. I didn’t watch the show but there was just a ton of animals around the track. I just assume the show has so much more to offer than just a few animals. I do hope they increase the theming in the final version.

News At A Glance

• Midway Mayham posted an image on Instagram showing that the switchback coaster at ZDT is up for sale. I might have to rush out to Texas to do this coaster!

• Six Flags Mexico is closing their boomerang coaster permanently. They have announced its upcoming closure to fans unlike what another six flags park did(Cough Great Adventure)

This Weeks Comic

Didn’t have time for a new comic, so here is an oldie but goodie! As a reminder, the theme park that Koala and Bear love visiting the most has a Llama as a mascot. The park is called Llamaland.
